Restorative Yoga with Melissa at Renzo Gracie Martinsburg

Join Melissa for a gentle, relaxing and restorative yoga session on the mat at Renzo Gracie Martinsburg Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gym in Martinsburg, WV. Offering a very soft practice to help your body find relaxation while also moving with mindfulness and intention. This class is particularly shaped around bodies that practice Jiu-Jitsu however it is also a class welcome to every-body.

Hatha, meaning sun and moon, represents the balancing of these energies.  Join Lilly for a balancing practice through movement, breath and meditation.  This gentle practice is held for every body as we reconnect with our inner peace.

Yurt Yoga: Peak Pose Flow with Melissa

Come out and dive a little deeper into your practice with this Yurt Yoga class that will offer a bit more vigor. This weekly offering will take the physical poses, or asanas, a bit deeper as you are reminded of your own strength and patience. Melissa will take you through an exploration towards a peak pose, warming up your mind and body, exploring different ways to access more challenging poses, followed by time to cool down and rest. This class will be filled with modifications welcoming all yogis to join! With emphasis on keeping yoga accessible for every body, Melissa will safely guide you through a yoga practice as you reunite with your breath and welcome mindful movements into your body, quieting your mind and finding your way into the present moment.

Gentle & Restorative Yurt Yoga with Melissa

Find your way to soften and release into relaxation as Melissa leads you through a gentle and restorative yoga practice. This class focuses on gentle yoga poses and sinking into restorative and supported poses for extended periods, allowing the body to release tension and deeply relax. Using props for support, you'll gently open and stretch, encouraging a sense of calm and balance. Perfect for all levels, this practice promotes rejuvenation and stress relief.

Prenatal Yoga Workshop with Sherry for Yoga Teachers, Moms-to-be and Moms that hope to be

This workshop is designed to explore the tools to help a prenatal practitioner practice yoga during pregnancy in an empowering and safe way. 

You will walk away with a greater understanding of:

•Core strengthening exercises that CAN be done during pregnancy. 

•Pelvic floor exercises to support the body during pregnancy and prepare for birth. 

•Sensation poses and breath exercises to help prepare for labor. 

•What to Avoid, Skip or Customize in a Yoga practice during Pregnancy. 

(Modifications and variations for poses that may not be safe or comfortable will be offered.) 

Moms-to-be, moms that hope to be and any support team are welcome to sign up, as well as yoga instructors who want to better empower and provide resources for their students during their prenatal journey.

Yoga Nidra with Marcie

Expand your study of mindfulness through Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic Sleep. This class will allow you to rest in a supported passive yoga pose while listening through a guided meditation. The goal is to practice transitioning into a deep state of conscious relaxation by moving your awareness from your external world into your internal world. Thus, helping bring you into a state of deep sleep where your senses, intellect, and mind can rejuvenate. The successful practice of Yoga Nidra is proven to be restorative to the body. Approximately 45 min of yoga Nidra equates to several hours of REM sleep. Research proves the practice of Yoga Nidra to reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia.

*Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket and pillow to be comfortable, supported and warm during practice. Don't forget your socks!!
