About the Instructor:
Melissa's yoga journey began in 2013 with a growing hunger to learn more of the practice and a deeper understanding the history. She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 with Jala Yoga, her Trauma Informed Yoga Training with Moving Mountains in 2020, and then completed her 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in March 2024 also through Jala Yoga. She completed Kids Yoga and Mindful Education Certification in August 2026 through Chrissy Lewis Yoga & Wellness. She has been teaching Yoga since September 2019. Melissa created and opened Grow Yoga in April 2024. After falling in love with Soul Food Farm and teaching outdoor yoga on the magical property for a while, eventually the Yurt was built in August 2024 and became Grow Yoga's Home studio. Melissa offers weekly in person and virtual yoga classes available through Grow Yoga's website. And be sure to follow Grow Yoga on Instagram and Facebook for a closer look, updates, encouragement, inspiration, poetry, quotes and positivity for your newsfeed
When you can't find Melissa on her yoga mat, she is probably out hiking a trail or hanging out with her husband watching Marvel and snuggled up with their cats. Melissa supports the American Foundation for Suicide and Prevention and 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
